Slight motor whine on the audio when in startup/standby.
Not a major problem but still a little annoying.
I assume it's a capacitor somewhere in the motor circuitry?
Many thanks
Is the motor running when the Beocord is in standby? This could point to an electronic fault - usually a small transistor that has shorted.Correct belts fitted? - Many "cheap chinese" standard belts (sold on Ebay etc.) introduce a too high sideways pull on the motor shaft,The delicate sinter-bronze bearings in the motor don't like it.The motor will run for a couple of hours, perhaps a few days or weeks, and typically makes a high-pitched whining noise before dying completely.
