Hello dear Boeworlders,
I bought a used and damaged Beogram in Germany and as I love B&O and need a new turntable I thought I'll make a complete restauration. In this thread I will post all my experiences on restaurating this old turntable from the 1980's.
From the first look I can say the Beogram ...
Restauration steps:
I will post all my experiences and tipps and tricks in this post. If someone has a service manual for the Beogram 5000 this would help a lot.
I would also need tips for the best needle for this beautiful Beogram.

Here is the very good basis for this restauration of my Beogram 5000.
Today I had the chance to deep clean the first parts and ordered all replacement parts. thanks @Dillen for your store recommendations.
I can recommend a mixture of salt, vinegar and flour or pure baking powder with vinegar. It helped me deep clean al parts without damaging the structure of the materials. At the end you have to clean everything with a lot of water and dry it with a soft towel.
The result are parts that look brand new.
I still would need a service manual if someone had one ;-)
If you upgrade your membership to Silver or better still Gold, then you can access the service manual.
