Hi
I’m trying to set up my Essence Mk2 to be integrated with my Avant Mk1 and essentially trying to use my speakers (3s , 18s) that are connected to the Avant , and hopefully, by ChromeCast (using the chromecast of the essence)
I have factory reset the Essence (all on the same network), and set up in two ways:
> Firstly in the app, i went in to the configuration settings of the Essence and "integrated" the Essence and the Avant and it is showing in BeoTool as "integrated" and therefore the essence no longer shows up on my home products screen
> Secondly, on my Avant, gone in to > Product Integration > Essence > Same Room = yes > Play on TV speakers = yes
I ask google to play on A6 - no problems; on A9 - no problems; on A1 - no problems; and on BeoVision 14 - no problems; but if i try "play on essence" or "play on avant" - it doesn't work.
I thought by integrating the two the Avant would use the Essences services and therefore the speakers - or is that a step too far?
Thanks

Chromecasting can not be redistributed due to how it works (and the restrictions of the makers).
This might help to understand what is possible.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Thanks for your help
Good to know i'm not going crazy.
There is therefore no reason for me to integrate the essence with any of the TVs
....no, not if it is just chromecasting, you are looking for.
You'll be better off just connecting a Chromecast HDMI dongle to the TV.
If you want multiple speakers playing in the house, including the TV, then create a Speaker group in the Google Home app, pick the Chromecast dongle and the other speakers you want to be part of the group, and then lastly, go to the settings of the Chromecast dongle, and adjust the Group delay correction until everything is in sync :)
This is needed due to the added processing time in the TV vs a speaker.
