I have several questions so please bear with me.

1. Is my tv mark one or two?

Type no: 9364. Red display. No hdmi. I think it does have a dvd player.

2. When I press dvd on the remote or press the button underneath the tv the dvd player makes a whurring sound, labours a bit but does not open. Any ideas?

3. I have connected the tv to a sky digibox via a scart / hdmi lead & to the dvi socket via a dvi / hdmi lead & have been unable to get a picture. I have also connected the tv to a pc via a dvi / hdmi lead.

I have gone into settings / connections then pressed go on the beo4 remote to confirm as it says to do on the instructions but still no picture. Any ideas.

I would appreciate any help otherwise I have bought a very expensive paper weight!

Thanks.

1) Its a Mk2.

2) Loader could be jammed. The cover is sprung, so gently pull it down and have a look to see there's not something in there.

3) Did you tell the TV that it's having a DVI input? You do this in the Menu Settings. If you've done it properly, it will work - unless.... the input is set to 1080p, in which case the scaler can't handle it. Set the product to 720p output. :)

Hope this helps!

I think you need to install the HD ready kit (as on 7-32 TVs having no HDMI). This can only be done by a BO technician assuming the kit is still available.

It's not cheap either. Not sure it's worth it, imho. You'd be better using the cash towards a newer pre-loved B&O TV.
