Hi Silou,

I am sorry but Beosound 9000 does not provide any data via its Aux socket, so it cannot remotely control a Beogram.  You would need to manually control the Beogram.

Kind regards, Steve.

Hi Steve

I know that! That's why I asked if Beolink converter can manage Datalink. I shoud do that...

No ?

Sorry Silou,

I am not aware of any way to add Datalink to the Beosound 9000 via a Beolink Converter.

Kind regards, Steve.

What you want to achieve can be accomplished, but not through the aux socket. Also, it's not inexpensive. You would need two NL/ML Converters and a B&O audio system capable of datalink -- such as a BeoMaster 7000, BeoMaster 5500, BeoMaster 4500, etc. You connect one NL/ML Converter via ML cable to the BS9000 and the other NL/ML Converter to the BeoMaster with ML via a BeoLink Converter. The turntable is connected to the BeoMaster. The two NL/ML converters then connect to each other with Cat7 cable. You then map the turntable source through the converters to control it using one of the video sources of the BeoRemote with the BS9000. As I said, it's not inexpensive -- or simple -- but it can be done. It would entail lots of cables for Steve to sell you!

Hi beojeff,

Thanks, that is an interesting idea.....I guess the two NL/ML Converters would cost around £1,200 GBP, so quite pricey but it would also give a lot of extra functionality to the system.  I am always happy to help with cables if Silou decides to go for this option!

Kind regards, Steve.

Thanks beojeff for the (expensive) issue !

But I would like to come back with the 1611 converter.

1611 -> by ML into BS9000

And Beogram -> 1611 Din connector AUDIO AUX LINK connector

Isn't it 1611 converter job ?

No. The 1611 converter is used to connect an MCL master to be recognized on an ML system. The turntable needs an audio master to drive it. The MCL audio master has datalink to control the turntable. However, the BS9000 does NOT have datalink. There can only be one audio master on an ML network. That's why you need the NL/ML converters to connect two ML networks.

thanks beojeff. Now it's clear 1611 need a MCL master. And 1611 input is MCL not datalink!

Maybe you can help me on this topic too: https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/38140.aspx ?

Thanks

Only true if the MCL master has PL and Datalink. The T1611 can also be also used with some TV's and BC without MCL, but with PL and/or Datalink (f.e. MX7000 or BC2300).

But this doesn't change a thing to the final conclusion for the BS9000.

Although not the obvious solution but the two BLC (= ML/NL converter) solution does work.

Depending on the BS9000, another solution:

BS9000 set to option 6

Second Beomaster with datalink / ML capabilities in option 2 in other room; Beogram connected to this BM

Hi Silou,

, so it cannot remotely control a Beogram.  You would need to manually control the Beogram.

Kind regards, Steve.

And for the record, you have to put a record on the Beogram or turn the record to listen to the other side Stick out tongue.
