Hi

So unit turns on

Windows not sliding open

Pressing CD goes to CD or radio or tape

But when pressing play give the sign as there is no CD and not spinning of course. Same with BEO4

Same for radio or tape.

Any help on the PCB to check first, I have all PCB for a swap.

Once ok will dig more deeply once PCB located.

But it's a pain for some PCB so I rather go right away to the correct one.

Tried resetting but no effect. And sometimes when knocking on the back it works until you turn it off and next day same thing again.

Thank you

Hi!

To me this sounds like a bad contact, a cable or soldering. If it is a specific area you have to knock at this might be an indicator where to start checking.

Good luck

Ingo

Hi Ingo

Thank you for your reply.

Well I did a PCB switch from another century and the problem is solved. I changed the PCB were the display and button were connected to, do not know which PCB as I did not look at the schematics.

ASAP I will reinstall the PCB in the donor unit and will see if I get the problem Beck.

If no bad cable connection

If yes it's a problem on the PCB.

Hi

Just to confirm that after having reinstalled the faulty PCB into the century donor the problem is back.

So PCB is the problem not bad connectors or else.
