Hi! I intended to order a bv 10-46 today without seeing one for real ( only pictures and forum discussions).
Fortunately I went to my B&O who was displaying the new bv 11-46 and I found same movie image that I hate: something like an opera stage, with an unreal movement.
I found this image from the begining when I first saw LED TVs, but I thought that it's something that was solved. I already had plasma tvs.
Am I the only one with this impression ? I treid with web content as well as a bluray movie: perfect details , bad cinematic experience .
It's difficult to put it in words: something like recorded with a handycam, something like telenovelas image, ...etc
Is the same image on bv 10? My dealer doesn't have it on display!
Please help me, cause I don't know what to do: to order or nota bv 10-46?
Thanks!

I don't notice see this on my BV10-46. No different from watching a movie on a plasma (BV12). I've had Blu-ray movies demoed on the BV12 and BV10/BV11 at the same time, so I can compare, and do not notice an "opera stage". There's no difference, apart from the BV12/plasma having better colours and a more smooth image.
However, B&O TVs do have a 'movie mode' which can cause an effect you're describing, if it's turned on. Some people *prefer* this cartoony mode. I always turned it off on my BV7 and always noticed when it had been turned back on (after a software update). The movie mode attempts to smooth sudden movements, so gives an odd kind of 2D flat cartoony effect.

Moxxey and Chris,
thank you for your feed back. So you didn't noticed the effect I am talking about?
Something I saw from the first LCD tv I ever seen and found it like a theatre stage/opera stage with unnatural movements. My dealer said it is due to the hihr resolution details but I doubt it cause I noticed on cheap LCD tv (years ago) with SD material.
It's motion compensation luckily many tvs have the option to turn this feature off and the bv11 has this option, people call it soap opera effect it tends to look like everything is moving in fast forward although i like the smooth picture this feature tends to provide.

BV 10 also have the option to turn it off?

I'm happy I am not alone :)
I ordered my BV 10-46 this evening after the reassurance of the forum members that everything will be ok.
Cheers!
I'll post pictures with my setup when it will arrive...end of the month.

Chris Townsend:Try taking in your own favourite movie to play. In my local branch I have never been impressed by the 12, but in Moxxeys local branch yesterday it was amazing.
You're the only person I've seen post that the plasma-based BV12 doesn't impress you. It's on another level, picture wise. Far exceeds that of the BV10 or BV11 and better than the BV7-55 MKII, which takes some beating. Colours are more vibrant, deeper, a more smooth image and so on. Absolutely the best picture I - and many others - have seen on any TV (OLED aside).
But, hey, you swing your opinions within days, so you'll probably have changed your mind by Friday :)
