Hi Guys,

On the old forum I had a thread in which Soundproof gave me some help on how to get a digital signal to my Lab 5s. He suggested an impact twin sound card with fire wire connection from the computer and then an S/PDIF cable to the Lab 5s.

I can't seem to play music out fire the fire wire. There must be some simple solution but for some reason my Mac wants to play out through the in built speakers. Done  a web search and cant seem to find a solution.

Thanks in advance for any help!

JR

Typically you have to set the audio output of the Mac in audio midi setup. You find this under the utilities folder. There should then be an option for output via FireWire.
