Good evening all,
Hope you can help - I'm looking for some advice to avoid the age-old "wires on display" issue!
Having recently moved house, I'm no longer wanting to keep my BeoLab 14 Sub next to the television, and only used to use the front two BeoLab 14 satellite speakers. I've switched from a BeoPlay v1-40 to an Avant-55, and so now want to position the satellite speakers at the rear attached to the subwoofer. However... running two/three PL cables from the TV across the corners of the room isn't ideal, so I'm looking for a wireless solution. I don't mind the speaker cables as these are quite discrete, but the PL cables are a bit bigger!
As the Avant has a wireless transmitter built in, this raises a couple of compatibility questions...
1 - would this work with a BeoLink wireless for the Rear / Surround / Sub PL channel? Or would it only distribute the 2.1 signal without the channel processing? Or would I then need a separate BeoLink Wireless for each channel?
2 - Do I need to look at a BeoLab receiver instead? These only have one PL output however, so would I need two to complete the R / Sub channels, or a third for a Surround channel?
After spending the money on a 4.1 BeoLab 14 in my last house I'm not looking to immediately replace this, but will be replacing the front two wide channels with either a BeoLab 17 or BeoLab 18 WISA pair in the next 12 months.
I also have a BeoSystem 7000 in another room which would be great to play in the lounge in a similar manner, but that may be a question for another day!
Thanks in advance.
Mike
2. You need 1 BeoLink receiver for each Channel. Thats meen you need 1. Sub, 1. Right surround. 1. Left surround. So i whould Connect 2 powerlink cable and hide that 2,5mm cable to the TV in front.
