Hi
I would like to connect a Beosystem 3500 to my Beovision 11. I know how to link products via Masterlink but the 3500 doesn't have masterlink so now I am rather clueless.
If anyone can let me know how to do this.
Thanks so much
Ben
Hi there
I guess you'll need a Beolink Converter - like this one.
https://www.beoworld.org/manuals_view.asp?pid=983
-as a Silver member you can download the manual.
Then you'll offcourse need to find a converter Try ebay or other sites for used electronics - or maybe some friendly Beoworld members have one for sale.
I have 3 of those converters actually so thats good news except I still don't understand how one would set it up.
If neither the Beosystem or Beovision have a masterlink socket how would you connect everything together?
You’ll need two (different) converters for that setup.
Here is a drawing of the physical setup - settings of the NL/MM Converter are a different subject:
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Ah ok. I don't have an NL/ML converter. I shall have to look for one.
Thanks MM for the info.
Doesn't the Beovision 11 have a Masterlink socket? (I thought so - but I "only" have a BV 10) - then I don't know...
(edit: I can see that Millemissen has the answer)
Hi Steffan
No masterlink on the BV11 unfortunately.
Does anyone know if it makes a difference whether the BS3500/BS4500 is set to the TAPE 2, CD, or PHONO option? It seems that it might make a difference on how the aux port functions. I've always found the section of the BS4500 manual regarding this to be unclear.
This might be a very dumb question but I am going to ask anyway! Can a Masterlink Gateway (the black box one) be used to do the connection between the BS3500 and the BV11? I have a brand new one in a box which I never used, partially because I have no idea how to use it.
Thanks
