I have a chance to acquire a pair MS150.2 from the original owner.  He’s told me the woofer(s) need reconing.  No doubt the crossovers need recapping as well.

This is beyond my skill level.  Is this kind of restoration something one of the local stereo repair guys can handle?  Or does this require special B&O experience?  Parts?

I looked on Beoparts site, and didn’t see capacitor kits for speakers.   Could have missed it, however.

Capacitor kits are not yet on site.
Use the contact form.

Hi!

This is a unique change to get outstanding speakers, go for it, please!

The woofers had foam surrounds which are rotten by now so only new surrounds are required, not a whole reconing, much easier and cheaper too.

As for the capacitors, you can go with strait replacement from Jantzsen with bi-polars electrolytic capacitors which should restore the original performance; or you can go with fancier film capacitors for the midranges and tweeters.

Do not neglect the overload protection circuit that also need TOL.

Good luck!
