Hi guys,

i’ve have now a « New » beovision Avant 55 with a beoremote one.

Bl4000 ,A9mk2 , M5 and 3x M3 are parts of the setup.

Deezer family and / or Apple Music are used for music via AirPlay or beo app.

PS4 pro for games and netflix.

Rooms : 3 bedrooms (music) , living room (music) , mediaroom ( movies+games and music) , bathroom (music)

my question is what would you do to have a greatest experience for surround, multiroom and home automation with ease of use ?

Would you add à Apple TV ? Or beointelligence or other ? IKEA or philips lamps ? An second set of bl4000 or Bl3 ? Feel free to give me your ideal solution 😁

Thanks for your ideas

As for the Home Automation I won’t say much - it is a question of what you want to d.

However I’d go for the Philips Hue and - since you have no MasterLink products in the mix - for the Beoliving Intelligence.

Is your ‘new’ Avant a 1.st gen or a NG?

With the 1. gen you will need that or a similar device....whatever that could be.

With the NG I’d add it anyway - it is more reliable that an older Android platform can be.

If you want decent sound for movies and games, you’d definitely have to add more speakers and a subwoofer.....which ones would depend on your room and your budget.

As second set of BL4000 could be a good starting point.

With some tweaking/taming - which should be possible with the Avant -  a BL2 as the sub could be an idea....for a start.

As for speakers - what is good only you in your room can decide.

Please wit for others to give their 10 cents - and tips for the Home Automation part.

Thanks Millemissen for your quick reply.

For the Home automation, today I Don't need too much, but start the music when I come home and controlling the lamps it's a good start.
I know that with apple home kit a can do a lot, but also with the beo intelligence.
Which one is more futureproof is the question..

For the surround, I've have a room upstairs (+- 25M³), not perfect for the sound because half of it is open like a mezzanine..

Will the BL3 be a better option that the BL4000 ?

Did you know if today we can controll the Playstation 4 with the Beoremote one BT? The Ps4 see it as Bluetooth accessoire but can't do the connection.

I've read in another post that you say that's possible to join another multiroom source who's is playing music via airplay. Is it correct? I can't do it.

Thanks for your help.

Re: BL3 vs BL4000 - hard to say....only a test in your room can tell!

Can you connect Hue to the B&O remote? If so, that would be magnificent!!

I have a Beovision 11, version 3 I believe.

Not directly - yul need a home automation bridge = the Beolving Intelligence or the BeoLink Gateway.
