I should first say that I am in the Algarve in Portugal and B & O dealers are very scarce in Portugal.
So my Beosound 5 has just been returned from repair in the UK.
Having pieced all the connections together inside the Beosound and then in turn connecting to the BeoMaster I have hit a few snags.
Firstly the BeoMaster shows up as a network device and pings a reply and registers on BeoConnect with the correct IP address
However the Beosound has frozen in Standby, the red light in the top right corner is on but will not operate.
The Beomaster is showing a green light at the rear hence I assume showing on the network and connecting to BeoConnect.
I should add it is one of the original Beosound/master combinations and the BeoMaster was running Windows XP, the last time I got into it.
Beo support have advised a couple of Windows 10 set up instructions on my PC which worked and everything was hunky dorry, but after powering the Beo down and on again the next day, thats when it froze.
It has been without power for three days with all cables removed, then reconnected but still frozen in standby.
I have had numerous email conversations with goodness knows how many people at B & O support which I find most infuriating as you get a different person every time who never bothers to read the ticket history.
My nearest dealer is 300 miles away, if no one can offer a solution looks like I might have to bite the bullet and box it up and put it on a carrier.
Any advice would be very welcome.
Thanks in advance
