Hello All

Does anyone know if the LC2 is compatible with LED light bulbs?

I want to replace my lights with bayonet LED bulbs over time but dont know if they will work.

Thank you

Hi,

I use my LC2's with dimmable LED-lights 7w-->40W from Megaman. The bulbs work perfect with Lightmode 1 to 9. A constant light is the result. I'm vert happy with this solution: old & new technology Big Smile .

Hi,

I just bought a Phillips GU10 led lamp and it works fine with the LC2. The problem I found is that the bulb produces a humming sound specially when dimming at level 5.

Can you here such noise with your bulb? If not, can you please provide the exact brand and reference model?

Thank you

Good evening alls,

I've received today an A9 Keyring which happened to be delivered with an LC2. So I started to play with it Smile

I wanted to know if there is any new info about that: I've tried with my LC2 (type 2131 set to on/off mode) and experienced the same result, but I've also read here and here that some led bulb are working and even claimed to dim but the threads went dead.
Second question is can I use it to on/off an apliance. Actually it's an Atv 1. the Hard drive makes some noise at night and i would be able to remotely turn it off with the B&O remote. Now it is turn off by a manual switch.
Thank you.

I have oldfashioned lightbulbs on my LC2’s, so I can’t give you any 100% advice.

But you probably can’t run LEDs as Weebys wrote.

As for the use for turning off/on anything else - I’d not try that.

For that purpose you’d better use some kind of time switch - something that you can get for little money.

Yes. That's what I experienced myself but there's also posts saying otherwise:

Wild Ruedi:

Die neuen Osram LED dimmbar ab 60W, alte Lichtstärke, funktionieren mit LC2.

And also one more recent post about a member successfully driving and dimming an Ikea garland but i can't find it now.

So maybe there was some change in bulb technology or any new trick/hack which can make them work without spending 40w when you can use 6!

As for the time switch, it won't work as hour of use are never the same.

Ok, thanks - maybe I’ll try one out with a LC2 here.....I just fear that they will be humming.

As for turning off/on the device.....give it a try - and we’ll see ;-)
