Hello BeoWorld!
Hope all is well
I have a Beogram CD50 5113 that won't accept CDs. I have made sure (as it has been drilled in my head) that the CD must be inserted upside down.
However, I should probably preface this with that this issue started with the unit sitting a while and when I tried to open the CD tray the tray would not open. I thank the BeoWorld community for helping me deduce that it was the gears that were siezed and following instructions from the forums, carefully taking the cabinet apart and lubricating the gears while making sure the gears were still in time.
After this operation the unit won't accept any CD. I put the CD in upside down, press load, it takes it for a bit, nothing happens with laser or motor, then spits the CD right back out. I found a forum page with a similar issue but could not seem to get mine to work. Any help would be appreciated.
Could be that the disc isn't loaded (lifted) all the way.Wrong/worn belt?
Martin
Hey Martin
Thanks for your quick reply! I have (hopefully) added a video that shows how the unit is operating. I have checked the belt and it looks in decent condition and is not visibly worn. I kept the same belt as the first issue I had just seemed to be that the gears were seized.

If the video doesn't work. the CD is inserted, lifted, then lowers a bit. I do agree with you that it may not be lifted all the way and I will check the gear timing to see if I can fix it.
Many Thanks!
