Hello All
Having had a Century/2000 for almost 20 years thought i would upgrade and treat myself to an A9 speaker.
I purchased from a reputable retailer over the other side of Australia (unfortunately local B&O dealership in Adelaide folded last year), who sold it to me as a Mk III as I wanted (I checked by calling first).
It arrived safely today but I am immediately concerned because the outside box shows a "Spotify" emblem - I had thought that Spotify was removed between versions II and III.
Of course none of the paperwork inside the box makes any reference to model variant.
I called the store, which told me that they were sure that they had sent me a Mk III.
Anyway, my question is this - is there any way I can tell from the unit whether it is II or a III without dismantling it??
I opened up the round panel at rear - there is a USB port in there - I also thought that the USB port was removed in the Mark III.
Would be grateful for any help with this. The store is happy to refund if its not a III.
My first post - apologies if there is an easy answer
regards
David
the simplest way ...
MK I + II has only 1 speaker driver unit on the backside and
MK III + IV has 3 speaker driver units on the backside
Look with a lamp through the grill and you know what is yours

Not sure if that helps you - but nice to know anyway:

Also you should, if you set it up, be able to notice, if it would support Spotify Connect.
