Hi all
Maybe one of you have aor had the same problem.
The error is very strange.
The front glass rises all the way up, then immediately lowers. The belt on the mechanism is ok.
Sometimes it rises and stays there,  works as it should.
What could be wrong?
Thanks

My father has had the same problem from time to time. Turning the BS4 off completely (at the mains) and leaving it unplugged for half an hour sorted the problem when I was there.

There is a magnetic switch/sensor that detects glass position (PCB12).

When the lid is closed, there should be 3.3V on P1 Pin2 on PCB12, if not 3.3v, change PCB2(master), if there is 3.3v replace PCB12.

Sorry I cant help any more, I have just had my first BS4 last week, so I am not that familiar with it yet, but according to service manual, there is no schematic, only a flow error chart with instructions on which PCB to replace :)

What I wrote, is from the flowchart problem "Front glass slides down, and nothing else happens"

Thanks for that.

Someone say that the magnet can be faulty or not so strong any more as new.

This can be some rainy day project :)
