Beovision 9 mk2 screen upgrade

Has anybody tried this?

Would like to keep the bv9 as is but add an lg/Samsung/ Sony screen, I have tried with my sons 22" Samsung connected and it works , I can access the menus/ format/ volume etc.

I could use a 55" size screen but would lose a lot of screen to the bv9 surround so will stick with the 50" and draw-in the bv9 cabinet.

Is there any potential problems I could encounter ?

There is plenty of space within the cabinet and will need to route a power cable out the rear, but really can't think of any other issues with doing this.

Will get a a frame made up to hold the new panel as they are way thinner than the Panasonic d9.

Any ideas or info much appreciated
