Hi, I'm new and after reviewing several posts, I'm not sure my exact question has been asked/answered so here we go.

I have inherited (from my grandfather via my father) a stunning Beogram 3000 type 5228.  It's in great condition but sadly no sound comes from it. I replaced the belt as it kept slipping off so that's sorted but still the sound issue remains.

I purchased a DIN to RCA lead from eBay that is meant for B&O kit but still no dice.  The diamond stylus appears to be fine, and I can hear the stylus in the grooves when I put my head next to it, but nothing comes out through the stereo.  I bought a small pre amp but still nothing.  I am not an electrician but am comfortable taking it apart and checking stuff if someone can point me in the right direction?

I've taken the stylus and cartridge out and cleaned the latter (although it looked fine) just to check it (as per some advice from people with similar problems).  Still nothing.

Any help would be much appreciated
