Hello,

I've watched the video from B&O Manchester where they say that in audio mode, the non-beta version of the TV will be able to display useful information in audio mode (such as TuneIn station) while being folded... But I cannot find anything about it (photo or video) on the internet.

So can anyone who has a Harmony can explain a bit more what the TV can do while folded?

Also a bonus question : is there an "image off" mode that turns off the screen while keeping the speaker on (folded or not)? I use it a lot on my current setup to turn off the picture while using a video projector and the Beovision as a 5.1 sound processor only,

It is a feature, that was announced, but not yet released.

How it will be implemented.......and when - and if at all - it will be released, is not known.

There is a tv - and there is a BV

If it works, don`t fix it.

If i doesn`t work, don`t use it.

I believe MM's answer was specific to the "information display in audio mode" feature which was promised. The "picture mute" feature you describe also is not available. (IIRC this was per Christian K. in a text message answering a question from Henrik during a recent BeoTalk podcast. He was responding specifically to whether pressing "Video" "Mute" on a remote could fold-down the screen, but his answer *seemed* more general, i.e. fold-down or not, the function is not implemented.)

Thanks,

So that's not good news for me.

Concerning the picture mute function, I understand that if it's not available on the Harmony, it's also not available on the Eclipse, Am I correct?

And concerning the "information display in audio mode", my understanding is that, as every "future functionality" ever advertised by B&O, it will never be available...

Hi,

When You play audio from Eclipse (Deezer or DLNA) the picture is black (muted).

You can also with Beoremote one mute the picture whenever you want.

So, no problem with this regarding the Eclipse.

Hi Martin,

The question was not about plying audio : it's turning off the screen while playing a video source (in 5.1 audio)

Ok, so there is still "picture mute" function on the latest LG-based TVs. Nice.

Right you are!  I mis-interpreted Christian's answer, which was only about fold-down when video-muting.
