Hi

I'd like to eliminate human error when setting up my surround sound and I read in a Bang & Olufsen support document 'sound settings' that I can do this with a calibration microphone which can be purchased from a dealer, but my dealer says he cannot find any mention

Perhaps they no longer exist?

I know the microphone is available for the Beolab 50s. I think there was a feature for the Eclipse that included the use of a microphone, but I don’t think it has ever been released. Others here will know more about it than me.

What's your setup? Bv avant can take advantage of a mic and so can bl50's but both mic's are different. You could also use a laptop with a mic and software and set it that way. But we need more infoSmile

Hi

Setup is as follows:

Eclipse 65, two front Beolab 18s, two rear Beolab 6000s, Beolab 2 subwoofer, Beosound 9000

Is there a way to calibrate this system automatically?

Thanks

Hi thorne,

no there isn't unfortunately. To start of I would highly advise to use either a phone DB app or a db meter and start off by setting them all the the same level at the point of where ever you sit :)
