I have a Beocenter 7700 with S45 speakers (that I purchased new in 1984). Is there someone who can tell me what CD player would connect to this system? Is there a B&O product that would work? I look forward to hearing from someone familiar with B&O products. Thank you in advance.

You have probably the best music centre ever made by B&O! I’ve owned the similar 7007 and if I remember rightly there is a Tape 2 input on both of these Beocenters which is line level and has RCA phono sockets.

The best B&O CD player to match both aesthetically and electrically would be the Beogram CDX. This was a variation of the Phillips CD104 and has a pretty well bulletproof CD mechanism and an excellent chip which still sounds good today. It also comes with RCA phono plugs so it’s just ‘plug in and play’.

Agree completely - the only disadvantage is the lack of remote control - if you wanted that then a CD50 with the optional remote but it is less reliable and nothing like as common - Have both and the CDX would definitely be my choice.
