Hi guys

Has anyone had this issue with the almando multiplay, i have set this up with lab 8000 front and lab6000 as rear, and beolab 2, set up was easy enough i have updated the software on both the tv and the almando  and have the hdmi connected to the earc socket, but when i try to increase or decrease the volume it is not very responsive, if i switch on thr 3200 this works fine with volume up and down, has anyone has this issue? I have tried to contact almando but they are very slow to respond, any help would be appreciated

Hi Kai,

I have a similar setup with a Beosound 3200, 4 Beolabs8000, Beolab2 and an LG GX 77. All is connected to an Almando Multiplay Decoder. But I do not have a latency problem. When I increse/decrease the volume, it immediately change it. The only difference to the internal LG internal speaker is, you only see +/- symbol for the volume on the screen with the almando. When you use the LG internal speaker, you can also see the volume level. But the response time is the same.

Either your almando has a problem or there is a difference between LG CX and the GX. I donˋt think, that a setting of the Almando or the LG could cause the problem. What you also could do is a test with another HDMI cable.

best regards,

Josef

Hi

Thanks for the reply, i have adjusted the settings on both the tv and the alamando box but nothing seems to make a difference, as you say i can see the plus and minus in the screen but volume control is slow to respond. I will try another cable to make sure, but the reaponse from alamdo has not been great 5 emails and still no reply

Here my settings: (My settings are in German. I hope the translation is correct)

LG:

Digital output: pass through

eARC: ON

Almando: (Settings for the LG input)

Signal: PCM

Dolby PL-II

Mode: Movie

Start volume: -49dB

Status: ARC freigeschaltet

I bought the almando from `Munich Home Solutions`. They immediatly answered all my questions before I bought the almando. While installing I did not have any problems and since then it works fine. If you did not get an answer from almando, I would contact this company.

Besides the LG, I also connected the Beosound3200 as well as a Bluesound Node 2i. Switching between the sources also works fine.

One question, but what do you use as a central channel?

Many thanks

Hi thanks for your reply i will check the settings but from memory they all seem similar to what you have said it all works well it just the latency in volume up especially down, which is not great and never wants to go down to zero

Hi checked sertings and same as you, but what i did not notice before, is on the speaker settings the centre was not high enough i have increased this on the app, and adjusted the settings for the front and back, this setup works well the volume up works well volume down i would say is not as good, overall i would say this is a great product
