Beosound core connect with LG 49UF772V through optical in

Hello Guys

I bought beolab 20 and beosound core yesterday.

I wanted to connect my television (LG 49UF772V) with the speakers to get a good cinema feeling.

so i bought an optical cable with an adapter for the "jack" optical line in. 

In the store he said it was only setting the optical sound setting to deactivate delay.

can you help me get this sorted so i can get a nice cinema feeling :) 

i cannot get it working, i already had my LG tv working with an old stereo setup with an NAD surrond receiver through the optical out (TV) that i am using now.
