Hello,
One of my Beolab 3 speakers recently stopped working. The light no longer comes on, and no sound comes out. The other speaker works just fine. I switched the power cables to check if it was that - it didn't work with the other speaker's cable either (and the other speaker worked just fine after switching cables). What should I do?
After reading other posts - I see it could be a blown fuse. I do not have the tools nor the capability to diagnose or fix said problem. Any other suggestions? I'm not sure what to do.
Thanks,
Simon
"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
I think you need to take it to a repair shop.
If you have a Gold membership you can get the service manual, but its quite a lot of work (lots of screws) to get into these speakers.
Since you (as me) seem to have limited knowledge regarding this type of tech, I would not advise you to dismantle the BL3.

I wouldn't suggest opening it yourself, I have opened one before and there are a lot of screws but the fuse isn't the pull out and replace type. If you have no knowledge of electronics or soldering then you won't have a clue what you are looking at. The manual also mentions using an anti-static wrist band to protect the electronics.
if you do not have knowledge of electronics, better to take it to expert.
it says here how to disassembly https://hi-tech-remont.com/bang-olufsen-beolab-3-razborka-i-remont/PS
1. Replacing the fuse did not help
2. Power supply burned out
