Hello,

I have a perfectly working BeoCord 7000 besides the sound quality which I think sounds rather dull. Not as dynamic or clear as I recall they were when new (I had this system from new many years ago so comparing to how I recall it to sound).

It helps a little when I turn off Dolby noise reductions but still not perfect.

Any advise please? Any capacitors that should be replaced if so which ones?

Many thanks BeoMedia

Tapeheads clean?
Azimuth adjustment spot on? Autoreverse decks will almost always end up a compromise with regards to azimuth.

Heads have been cleaned thoroughly. I should have mentioned that, sorry.

Azimuth - I haven’t touched this. Can I perform this myself or will I need specific tools?

Tanks, BeoMedia
