The lid only raises when I push the button if I help it with my finger, motor whirrs but it doesn't open on it's own. It closes fine.

Would this be the lid opening drive belt slipping?

If so, where can I buy the right belt (part number?) and how should I open the CD to replace it. I am happy with this type of repair as I repair vintage cameras as a hobby but would appreciate advice before I start,

Thanks!

Most of the time, the teeth of the gear has (partly) broken. I can provide that part.

It's made of nylon the very close to the original.

If you need that part, send a pm.
