MCP 5000 won't exit standby

Hello.

I've just bought a Beomaster 5000 with a MCP 5000, and I'm experiencing some problems with the MCP.

When I put in a new set of batteries, they MCP works fine until it goes into standby, it won't start up again. Only when i take the batteries out and put them in again, the MCP works again, but only until it goes into standby again.

Hope someone can help me with this.
