Hello,
which standard uses Netlink and what are the specs? Anyone who knows it?
Is it 96 kHz/24-Bit?
A very good question, I have my BS Moment together with a BV wherefore the NL could be the limitation if I play HD music on the MS Moment.
Audio signals streamed over the NL network-link protocol are in CD quality = 16/44.1.
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Ok, but thats not good for HighRes Audio.
On a B&O Whitepaper from 2015 i found this:
"The sound distribution among BeoLink Multiroom products is performed in uncompressed CD quality. The support for even higher quality audio distribution (up to 192kHz/24bit) will be added in the future versions of Network Link, via SW updates to the products."
Is this software update added? Anybody knows?
I think for HighRes Audio Masterlink is better because it is analog. So you can put a Chromecast Audio to a BeoSystem 3 for example and can hear up to 24-Bit / 96 kHz with Qobuz.

bigdeniz asked for ‘multiroom’ ( = joining sorces from other devices in the NL network) and ‘ future versions of Network Link‘.
I gave the answer to the first part - I have no idea whether that will be changed or not.
I am however sure that it might be possible - but it would put more stress on the network because of the increased bandwith needed.
Honestly I don’t think that they will change it - and personally I don’t see a need for doing so.
If you think of what a particular device is able to handle, when playing directly from that to the speaker/s, that might be different from device to device due to different hardware buid-in.
Generally seen, B&O use a bigher bitrate, when processing the files/the 'music' in the device (SoundCenter, BL90 etc).....something that surely makes sense.
