Hi,

I have a BS3000 / BeoMedia 1 with BL6000 speakers which I absolutely love.

However, I would like to do multi room with this system and keep BS3000 as a master source but the NL/ML converter just seems to be a very expensive option. I would like to add one room with another set of BL6000

As far as I can understand you can do it with Google Chromecast Audio but it does not allow the BS3000 to remain the master. Only in the one room.

Any solutions out there to this issue besides the NL/ML converter.

Thank you,

Jesper

Not sure, what you are up to?

If you use the 3000 as a master, you practically need a slave to do multiroom = that is called MasterLink.

For the BL6000’s in the other room, you would need the socalled Beolink Active box in order to listen to the sources of the (master) 3000.

The NL/ML Converter is only needed, when you want to integrate with the newer NL multiroom products (from B&O)....I see no mentioning of that in your post.

You can do multiroom with two CCA’s - one connected to the 3000 and the other to the BL6000’ (with the correct cables.....but then there is no need to talk about the 3000 as a ‘master’.

With Chromecasting you simply create a group of both CCA’s and have multiroom that way.....you will not be able to use the sorces of rhe 3000 in the other room.

Would be easier, if you’d explain, what you want to acchieve - what do you want to be able to do?

P?S. By the way, how do you use a BeoMedia 1 with the BS3000/BL6000???

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Hi,

I would like to move Audio from my master room into a 2nd room in the house without having to pull the physical master link cable.

I would like to move the Audio wireless. I do not need commands such as changing tracks or changing source in the slave room. I am OK with only having audio and volume control in the slave room.

I would like to be able to play the music from my BeoMedia 1 or BS3000 in the slave room

In my slave room I would like to have an old pair of BS6000, BL8000 or BL3s.

The old Beolink wireless would do the trick I am sure. I am just not sure how reliable the Beolink wireless is?

The BeoMedia 1 is hooked up to the BS3000 with masterlink using a non-B&O TV for the visual. Works perfect.

Thank you for the explanation on the NL/ML converter - I tried figuring out what that thing was for and it did not make any sense to me.

Also thank you for the explanation of the chrome cast audio set up.

Thank you I will try to look more into that.

I did not consider Bluetooth since I was not confident of how it would function across rooms and floors in a house. To me Bluetooth was always a one room option but they might have improved sound transmission.
