Hello,

I bought a beolit 505 portable radio a good while ago. I tried it then and found out that the volume increased by itself to the max. So, I put the radio into shelf to wait better times.

Now, I thought to test it again. I switched it on and now it comes to max volume no matter where the slider is.

I tried to clean the volume potentiometer with spray, but no affect.

Any idea where the problem might lie?

Regards,

Pekka

Bad volume potentiometer or lead(s) broken off.
Check the potentiometer with an ohmmeter.
