Hi Beoworlders,
Hope you are all keeping safe. I just wanted to share some good news - a former B&O store is about to re-open under new ownership! Can any of the sharp-eyed ones amongst you recognise this UK B&O store without its logos?
More information to follow in the next week or two - watch this space!
Kind regards, Steve.
Steve.

Hi Steve,
Nottingham ?
Hi matador43,
Wow, that was spot on! Sorry, I will have to think up a harder quiz question next time!
Due to open next week, if all goes to plan, nice to be able to report some good news at the moment......
Is that one of the dreaded "white vans" there?
Jeff
I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.

Hi Jeff,
Please don't worry, we don't have any issues with unbranded B&O sellers here in UK, that is merely a delivery van
Thats great news, always liked the B&o store here and in Arnold, but this is a good size showroom, before this they had a store in West Bridgford.
Kindest regards
David
At least they won’t have to replace the B&O handles on the front doors... they were never replaced during the time it was an estate agent!
The manager of the old store, Peter, was an incredibly nice chap.
I’m normally an optimist, but I’m struggling to see how, with the mother of all recessions fast approaching, a new store, in a not-great location (parking is a pain) is a sensible investment.
Cheers
Nigel
Hi Nigel,
There are also quite a few of the B&O panels still fitted inside, but that probably won't reduce the costs of opening as a B&O dealer by much.....
I don't recall Peter at the old store, but I got on well with Ian and Martyn who ran B&O Nottingham until it closed (Martyn then worked at B&O Leicester until recently).
I always liked the fact that this store was so prominent as you drove through Nottingham city centre, there was no way to miss that B&O had a store in the town centre. Parking isn't great, but then Nottingham has three park and ride services, which drop you off a few minutes walk from the store. The store does also have a couple of private parking spaces - I wonder if these will be able to be booked by customers when the store opens?
There is a good range of roadside parking nearby and an NCP car park, although not cheap. I certainly had no problem parking on the day I visited (and no, that is NOT my white van!)
Yes, Ian, not Peter. Must have been thinking about another nice chap...
