Hi everyone
finally after many years I managed to buy a pair of Beolab 8000 speakers, they will have to be restored, but overall almost everything works, but I think there is a problem, when the switch is on the phono position, with no cable connected to the speaker it does not go into stand-by, the right speaker the green light is always on, on the left the green light turns red for a second and immediately returns green. if I put the switch on the power link position after a few seconds both speakers turn off.
Do you have any advice to give me since I can only use them with a phono input?
thank you for your help

That’s normal. When used with the rca socket, you should a good shielded cable attached to a source.
Just setting the switch to Line without a cable causes this behaviour.
Just use it as it supposed to be used.
