I get the same sometimes and it's really annoying!

It seems to happen to me when I start up using something other than Sky (say music/TuneIn).

I have tried many things looking for a workaround but the only way I have found to rectify it is to reboot the entire system. It's almost as though the Sky box has not woken up and confuses the system but I don't know if you use Sky.

The volume control still works fine in the B&O app while this is happening so if you do find out how to cure it please let me know.

Blank everything - quite a scare!

Had to reboot the system but at least I got a picture and this time the audio was displaying the problem I had hoped to cure.

Turned the CEC back on and at least I have everything back now.

Having changed the CEC back the only thing I have altered is to switch the Auto  Device Detection on.

I will see if this makes any difference but the problem seemed intermittent so it may take a little while to see if this cures it.

Beovision Eclipse and Beovision Harmony support CEC on all HDMI sockets. CEC allows control of connected equipment without the use of PUC cables as it works via the HDMI connection.

Different vendors have their own understanding and implementation of CEC, and some equipment will not work well with the TV. There is often a lot of limitations when using CEC, and we still recommend using PUC when possible.

The CEC will remain active until you configure a PUC control for HDMI. When the PUC is configured, the TV will not send CEC control commands, but will only control the connected device via IR PUC.

When using PUC together with a device that supports CEC, it is important that you disable the CEC.

There are different possibilities of disabling CEC:

Method 1 - used if you have a mix of CEC and PUC controlled HDMI sources:

Set "HDMI Control" to "OFF" in the source setup on the HDMI connector in question. This will disable CEC in that one HDMI e.g. HDMI A, and CEC will still work on HDMI B-D.
Some CEC commands cannot be blocked this way. The TV is still open for certain commands e.g. source selection, which is why it is recommended to switch off CEC in the source (e.g. Blu-ray player) if possible.

Method 2 - used if all HDMI-connected sources are controlled with PUC:

If no CEC is used on HDMI A-D, we recommend disabling "HDMI Control" on all SoundCenter HDMI's (A, B, C & D) regardless if only one HDMI socket is used.
By disabling "HDMI Control" on all HDMI's, the CEC will be completely ignored by the TV when not in standby.

If this CEC setting/HDMI Control not taken into consideration when installing a TV, the connected devices can send CEC commands to the TV which will cause conflict with the PUC control and potentially cause unwanted behaviour like automatic source change or the TV switching on by itself.

Many thanks for the input :-)

Will try it out when I have a couple of hours to spare and can pluck up the courage.
