Deezer Family

We have an Essence MK2, and a Beoplay M5.

Both my wife and I use the B&O App.

Is there any way to use Deezer Family accounts with the App?

It seems to default to the main account, which means my wife only sees my music.

This results in endless discussions about what a cr*p system it is. [:\'(]

Any thoughts?

That might be a drawback (for some) - I do not know a solution there.

In order to avoid a divorce maybe one of you (means: your wife) could use the Deezer app to AirPlay or to Cast to the device.

Or.....draw lots every morning ;-))

Did you try making two accounts for B&O and both use your own account for all the gear? Not sure if it is possible but maybe worth a try

Yes, the workaround is to use the Deezer App and then use Airplay/Bluetooth. However this relies on the iPhone staying in the network/vicinity and any notifications coming in can also be heard through the speakers. ChromeCast always seems a little flakey and does not allow Multiroom.

The problem is that there is only one Deezer account (one set of log in credentials). So different B&O accounts don't help, as the Deezer accounts would be the same.

The Deezer account always defaults to the Admin (= my) profile.

 

I see there is the possibility to get an independent log in for family profiles but this is through either a facebook or google account, neither of which my wife has. (and doesn't want or need)

Perhaps it is worth creating a "dummy" account solely for the purpose of testing if it is possible to use the same B&O account on different IOS devices with different Deezer accounts on the same B&O devices.

Perhaps with 2 B&O accounts it could work?

Use Chromecast then, Deezer supports it, you’ll not need to keep your phone close and up

I didn't mention that we also have an Avant 55.

Using Deezer through the App I can "Join" the Avant to the Essence Multiroom group.

The Avant isn't available on ChromeCast.

And ChromeCast relies on the Google Home App to get it all set it up.

N.B. It is always nice to know all details, if one has to gave an advice!

Unless someone else knows something better, my best advice will still be....to draw lots in the morning for that day ;-))

Or let your wife decide - then you will have a high WAF.
