Dear Beoworld community,

I checked both the manual and these forums and I cannot find the answer to my question.

My BV7-40 MK6 has an ethernet port, however I am struggling to understand what features can be used with that network connection, as it is not a network link product but masterlink (that is why I use a MLGW to interface Lutron controllers and other things).

Any idea of what we can do with that network/internet connection connected to the BV7?

Thanks

Regards

Christian

Hello Christian,

I have the same TV over here and as far as I know the ethernet port is for the blu-ray player. Some blu-rays offer BD Live and therefore need an internet connection.

So the port is not for Smart TV options or Networklink. This is a simple RJ45 LAN / internet port to access BD live content from blu-rays.

Correct, the Network connection is only for the BD player as described.
It's also used for BD-Player firmware update via the internet..
