I am new member and have just bought a Sony A8H and Stage and connected them directly using earc ports.
Both TV and Stage are running latest firmware.
I changed a couple settings based on a youtube article to set up the Sony for Atmos/EARC - and since then when playing Netflix - intermittently the sound will stop and there will be a high pitched wining noise from the speaker. The only way to resolve is to shutdown the TV and try again.
I think it is a setting on the TV for "pass through mode" which is suppose to be auto which enables "Output of signals like DTS etc". I'm not sure if disabling will fix it yet (this noise just started last night, but I'm trying this first.
Has anyone else had this problem and knows what could cause it?
