This is oneof my special "finds." I just got lucky as no one else was interested in bidding.

Great find Jeff, especially the 3D effect. I have this sign as well as many others.
Are you a collector of this kind of "gadgets" like watches, CD's etc.?
Brengen & Ophalen
Yes I am. I love Bang & Olufsen and anything associated with it. Søren says it is a lifestyle and surely it must be.
Anything else you could show me of your collection?
The sign was a special find and I recently acquired a NOS B&O BeoTime clock with original box.
However other than the B&O products themselves, owner’s guides, service manuals, and the “absolutely necessary to own” B&O can opener; I don’t have much else to offer.
I have a Chinese-made illuminated B&O sign, completely un-original to B&O, but handsome. This company made all sorts of signs for awhile, so I also have an illuminated McIntosh Amplifier sign as well.
I have B&O foil decals and a black B&O ball point pen….. and I just ran out of steam.
I especially like dealer items, but these are difficult to find and then horribly expensive when you do…. but that is part of the fun, the search!
Then definetely you should pay me a visit whenever you come to Holland. Got loads of things. Been in Canada a while ago in Alberta Fort McMurray working in the oil sands...
It has been quite a long time since I was last in Holland, so this is a great invitation.
Working in Fort McMurray you must have done well financially! Good for you. British Columbia is the next province over, but it pays who whole lot less well.... trust me on this!
Whenever you visit Holland again, you're welcome my friend! Hope I have the opportunity to visit your country again, it's an amazing country.
Hi Leslie,
I did it again, I just couldn’t resist, I purchased another B&O sign. I will NEVER, but NEVER be in competition with Steffen and his amazing B&O museum, but this will add one more item to my “collection.”
Jeff, another sign for you?
Wow, that is really great! I wish it was a little closer to home and although conversions can be made, intended for 120V.
Thanks for keeping me in mind!
The new sign just arrived and it works. The boys and girls at Customs Canada had to have a go at it, but this time around did no damage. The sign needs a bit of TLC and a bit of touch-up work, but appears to be a winner.
My new B&O sign arrived and is a winner.
I was able to remove about 98% of the faux-damage to this sign. Persistence is the key and I just kept rubbing away with the Meguiar’s Plastic Polish until item after item disappeared.
The was a 9mm X 4mm “thing” in the corner that I really didn’t know if anything could remove, but bit by tiny bit broke off and it was gone.
Numerous scratches weren’t really scratches at all, so in the end, the sign came out MUCH better than expected! Much!
The basic key was cleaning as I have to believe that this sign was stored for sometime when no longer being used in a garage as the was considerable evidence of exhaust fumes and a lot of cigarettes.
Good job! Lots of patience and you get your reward
Here's one in my B&O room!
As you know, I have the same sign only in English and unframed. Yours looks positively dignified in what appears to be a wooden frame.
Either way, I like them both.
The new sign is up and on the wall in my miniscule B&O Museum. I see now that there are about a dozen pin-points of light due to damage from the inside, plus a 3” scratch. All are easily repairable, just take the sign apart again, finds the holes and scratch and an artistic dab of paint here and there, and problem solved.
Have a fine weekend!
That's the way to do it Jeff, have a great weekend to!
There is another sign like I just acquired on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Bang-Olufsen-B-O-Plexiglass-Advertising-Sign-70-s-80-s-HiFi-Audio-Bose-/230879992763?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35c1851bbb
The seller has priced it exactly the same as my sign. US$195.00
There's one thing he forgot to do and that's making a picture with the lights on. Surely that would attract more buyers!
