I have had my Beomaster 6500 from new and it is in immaculate condition.
I leave it in the standby ( powered up ) condition and last week it was working perfectly. Today I noticed that the red 'Standby' lamp on the front panel was not lit. I checked the fuse in the mains plug and this was fine as was the mains wall socket.
The unit will not respond to signals either from the MCP6500 or the hand remote, nor does it respond to inputs from my Beogram CD 6500, Beogram 6500 or Beocord 6500 Tape deck.
Please can you suggest the solution to this problem. I am not electronically competent to carry out any repairs myself so any advice as to possible top class B & O repair facilities in the UK would be much appreciated.
Sent the unit to Simon at AVA Services in Crawley- sorted!
Unit returned in perfect condition - Thank you Simon.
Thanks for letting us know! And good news that AVA Services are still up and running as they are my 'go to' place for spares!
