A newbie grateful for any advice. I purchased a mini jack to twin phono line cable from heavenly sounds some time ago and have only just got around to trying to connect an iPhone/iPad to my beocenter 2. I have plugged it into “aux in” and selected “A Aux” on the menu. However, I am not getting any sound. I am probably missing something very obvious but what am I am doing wrong?

Thanks in advance. Andrew

Hi Andrew,

This really should work straight off the bat. Anyway, here are a few things to try:

- Confirm that the cable is plugged into the AUX IN sockets of the BC2 (I know you’ve done this, but just to be sure...)

- My iPhone has different volume settings for ringer and music. So once you’ve plugged the 3.5mm jack into the iPhone/iPad, only then turn the volume all the way up.

- How are you selecting the BC2 AUX input? If on a Beo4, then confirm that you’re selecting A.AUX and not V.AUX.

- You may need to turn the volume up higher than usual on the BC2, as iDevices have rather low analog output levels.

Steve of Sounds Heavenly is very good about after-sales support. If he doesn’t chime in here, reach out to him.

Enjoy your weekend,

Lawrence

Thanks Lawrence. I really appreciate you getting back to me so quickly. I was sure I had already set things up as you suggest but went thro everything again and still no sound. And yes A.AUX. Frustrating. If I don’t get any other suggestions in the next few days, I will reach to Steve (who was very responsive when I ordered the cable).
