Hi

It seems to be possible, but I failed pairing them with the Beoplay app.

Did you successfully did it?

And how, with which smartphone?

Thanks

You need to first make sure the M3 is on your network.

Installation guide here: https://youtu.be/eRERe3OaJUI

The app should then find the M3.

I used iPhone 7

Thanks for the link Hiort, but this video does not explain how to pair M3s Sad

I can connect them via BT on my iPhone 5s or Samsung A5.

The Beoplay app find them on Android, not on iOS ?!?

On Android, both M3 are visible in the app, but there’s nothing to pair...

Are you talking about pairing two M3s for stereo operation? Unfortunately that is not supported by the product.

Hi CB,

It is possible to manually cable two M3 speakers to get them to work with your phone as a stereo pair, even though this isn't supported for wireless pairing.  Please drop me a line via my sponsor link below if you would like more details of how to do this via a cable connection.

Kind regards, Steve.

Thank you Tuomas, Steve and Hiort.

It’s not important, I was just trying to see how it works... or not Wink

Sure - cables can make this possible.

But how would you control the individual (internal) volume of the M3’s?

I have tried this with two S3’s - it did not work out well (for my taste and expectations for ease of use).

I even made a second attempt a year or so after the first one - with the same result....sometimes one of the speaker was louder than the other

and regularly I had to adjust the volume on the speaker itself for balancing L/R channels.

The M3 (and the S3) is not a speaker - it is a small sound system, that is supposed to work on its own conditions....imo.

I’d love to hear of the results from other people trying this, though!

P.S. I have always wished that they would make a S3 version with regular PL-input port and a L/R switch 🙄

Hi MM,

Yes, when you first connect the speakers, you would need to adjust the two speakers to the same volume level, then you should be able to control the volume from the phone without any issues.

Kind regards, Steve.

I ‘should’, yes - but the practice (at least in my case) was different.

Anyone tried? Please report back....

.....might give it a third try 😉

Sorry for the reply on an old post, but with the current stereopair announcement, this came on my radar.

Stereo pairing using the line-in on the M3's is easy with a cable like Steve suggests. You can fix the volume for the line-in source in the M3, so it is always the same as the other speaker. Actual volume adjustments are done in the source then.

Hi, also excuse for the late Answer. Today I found the information on the B&O Website, that the Stereo Pairing for the M3 should be possible with the Google Home App. However it works. It seems to be a solution.
