Hello Everybody,

Has been a while since visiting the forum, hope you're all doing well? Just a quick question.

On the socket panel of the Beosystem 3 MK1 which Powerlink speaker socket should be used for left and right hand rear speakers? (not rear surround) is it number 6 ? Do you then daisy chain these two speakers?

So for 7.1 surround the set up would be like this:

1, Socket Centre 1 = Centre speaker (Beolab 7.6)

2, Socket 1(sub).   = Subwoofer (Beloab 2)

3, Socket 2 = Front Left (Beolab 8000

4, Socket 3 = Front Right (Beolab 8000)

5, Socket 4 = Rear Left Surround (Beolab 6000)

6, Socket 5 = Rear Right Surround 9Beolab 6000)

7, Socket 6 = Left & Right Rear Speakers (Beolab 4000 which are daisy chained together)

Any help most welcome.

Kind regards,

David.

Only sub and Centre are dedicated powerlinksockets.
The others are free to choose.
After connecting you enter the menu to assign them to the which role, distance, etcetera they have. You can use for instance one cable to provide a front left and rear right speaker.

Many thanks for the reply Beobuddy. This makes perfect sense now.
