Hello!
Recently purchased a Beogram CDX, Beogram 8002 (w/mint mmc2), Beocord 9000, Beomaster 6000, and 2 RL140 speakers for 300USD. Came with all original manuals, service records, cables, calibration equipment etc.! I think it was a steal considering, the Beogram CDX, 8002, and speakers work perfect. Having trouble with the BM6000 and BC9000.
So I exchanged all the belts and rubber parts to the BC9000, but it really won't do anything. See video...this is all i could get it to do. Just blinks = and backwards C back and forth. I took the fuse out and it operates the same way, so I am thinking the fuse is bad, but it doesn't look blown at all....Could this be a fuse problem? Any other ideas of anything else?
Thanks so much!!

Is the motor running? Is the capstan running?Does the tapeheads engage, when you press play?
Martin
Motor and Capstan running smooth. When I press play the first time after turning on, the heads engage for a second then go back down. Can't get them to engage again with the play button until i turn on standby or unplug and press play again, and it does the same thing. If i hold memo go, the head will pop up and down and up and down continuously.
Thanks for the reply Martin!
Well, the vast majority of these decks will be in need of a thorough service by now - after 30-35 years. Not uncommon for any tapedeck - or any other piece of electronics, really.
But - Check for cracked solder joints where the large connector from the tape drive goes to the board at the bottom of the Beocord - under the motor - accessible by removing the Beocords bottom plate.Check also where the long cable from the tape drive goes to the display board - accessible with the Beocord in service position.
Will do, thank you Martin!
Nothing I can see here, no cracked solder joints, or nothing amiss. Ill take it in somewhere I guess, thanks!
Hi,I have a Beocord 9000 which will not stop CAL session after the stated 9 seconds or so. The tone is on two channels and I have tried several different tapes, 2x Cr and one Fe, without a change to the constant CAL.I am wondering if the built in Li battery may be an issue or perhaps something else.Terry
