Looking for some guidance !

I am a long time B&O user, from Beolab 5's to my current Eclipse so normally quite clued up.

Recently I purchased a BV11 2nd hand to go in the kitchen, I have a couple of things I just can't figure out.

I can't get any apps, the TV was reset to factory settings when I purchased, its connected to the net and I've tried both wifi and cable and have an IP address etc, its not connected to an aerial signal as I don't have a socket in the kitchen and just using apple TV. When I load the Webmedia page I see the spinning wheel in the right bottom corner and the first time it asked me to accept the terms but I then only get a blank page, totally black, no options and the remote does nothing, I have left it for 10 minutes or so to see if anything happens.

I have a few Beo4 remotes, they are newer vesions, the TV was being used with a Beolab One which I also have, I have changed the TV settings to use a Beo4 but can't get the, go or nav buttons to work, I also have no mode options on the Beo4.

Any help or advice would be great.

Hi.

Thanks for your post.

The short answer is. There are no apps. Well there are like 3. It’s not worth the Hastle.

The best thing is to get an Apple TV or if you have one laying around connect it to it and just use it that way.

It’s an easier to navigate UI and you can get so many apps etc.

The apps on BV11 can be ignored, just use the apple tv. Regarding Beo4, you need the version with navigation joystick in the middle. Assuming you are using this.

BV Harmony 65 / Eclipse 55 / BL 50 / 19 / 18 / BS 2 all brass

BV Horizon 48 / V1 40 / BL 17 / Beoplay S3 all black

V1 / BL 3 / BS Essence MKII / Beoplay A3 all white

BS Moment / BS 3000 / BS 3200 / BL 400 all silver

Headphones / bluetooth speakers / BLC NL-ML / BLGateway

I know…B&O virus has grown on me !

Personally I’d get the Beo4/navi (and set the BV11 for that).

This way it will be much easier to get access to the ATV or the builtin Netradio (don’t forget that you have that there).

Just assign the ATV to the TV button (in the settings menu of the BV11) and the RADIO button for the netradio function of the tv.

And do put the JOIN function (from the LIST) right up in the first place, when you push LIST for easy access to join in to what might be playing elsewhere in the house.

Of course it is a bit of liking the BROne more or not - but a used Beo4 is definitely cheaper and the BROne offers way too much functionallity for that user case.

The JOIN entry from the LIST is only available on the newer Beo4 with the navigation button.

Do you have one of these already?
