hello,

i have recently bought a Beocenter 2 and it works fine when using the buttons on the front, however the remote control doesn't work at all.  The remote works fine on my A8 speakers so it is working.

do I need to pair the beo4 remote and Beocenter 2 In some way.  Is this a massive issue and I should return the equipment?

Many thanks

Hi and welcome to Beoworld.

Your BC2 probably is set to Option 0 - did you check that?

You can find instructions about howto in the user guide for the socket unit (page 10).

Look for it on the B&O homepage.

If you went to the effort to tell him the page number, you probably could have copied the text and paste it here, make a new user feel more welcome

From memory, the unit needs to be in standby, you need to press list and the power button on the Beo4 until the text says add?  arrow down to option? Press go and arrow down to a.opt then press 1. The standby light on the BC2 should flash.

Please don't worry!

I did this on purpose - what can be more 'welcoming' than to help a new user help himself?

Very inappropriate comment.  In the majority of cases, newbies come here seeking help, receive it from several members, then forever disappear without even saying 'thank-you'.

Well-handled reply MM.

Many thanks for this information. It seems to have done the trick and I have it working properly now.

The B&O shop recommend that I bought it all in for a repair !

Hello,

I am having a connection problem with normal B&O Audio Terminal

That is the universal remote from B&O, the long one.

Please help!
