Mikipidia:No license for dolby atmos or dts:x mentioned, so not available. I somehow doubt dolby will just give that out and wonder how they would have 2 upscalers active/switch between them on the fly...
Seems a bit sad but I wonder why that is. B&O is doing a campaign about home theatre and having the best sound, builts some of the worlds best speakers and seem to not care about that in the other end of the spectrum. A bit odd, right? Especially at that price point..

The soundcenter have also been changed, so I do not think you can do that.
Sell the old complete and buy a new would be the way to go.
But what are you missing in the "old" can't see a reason to upgrade other than functions for the new consoles.
Think it would look very bad for B&O if they left out the Mk1 owners with no upgrade path (keeping the soundcenter). These C7 panels will inevitably die or have serious issues within a few years.

I'm considering taking the 55" off the wall (leaving the GX 65" wall-mounted) and adding the stand and sound bar....if it's justifiable. I do fear that those two components alone will be around £6000+

I don't think the new soundbar is designed (bottom part with 'fake panel') around the C7, so would be very surprised if you could upgrade or drop a GX panel in to the Eclipse v1 sound center - the bottom panel would look odd and not fit the GX profile?

I waited for v2, but looking at the specs, i buy the v1 (55) and save 2500 euros.
I think you might find the saving shortsighted how long will B&O keep spare 2017 panels Max 5 years- You might find yourself with a very expensive paperweightas owners of other beovisions have found

But it is what Beovision is in the future, there is still a difference to the soundbar Stage.
Lets see how the new Contour is going to be, if it still distance itself from the Stage.

Also don't forget 95% of B&O's customers aren't on this forum and won't really understand the LG + Stage + custom frame. They'll simply see a 48" OLED TV!

Since the Harmony takes an off the-shelf panel, we can buy that sound center individually. Hoping the same here.

Yes this is a concern, as the GX line only have been for one generation.
Hopefully B&O know that LG at least is also going to use it next year.
Further than that I am not sure if even LG know them self.
Are you sure about MK1 owners?
It is not the same soundcenter, so not sure if it will function 100%
There is a member that have done it, but he says that it is not 100%

Seemingly the tv is now held by vesa mount. Anyone who has the install and/or service manual? Please PM me.
