I have a Beogram 6002 that doesn't stop spinning when the tonearm and detector arm return to the start position. I have to switch off from mains to stop. Okay when I plug it back in. Anyone have any ideas please before I open it up for a closer inspection?

Thank you

Hi

Could be the endswitch, is the tangential drive motor still running ( you could hear and see in the right corner if you take out the metal plate under the tonearm) For an inspection of the switch you have to take the recordplayer into service position.

Here is a link from Beoparts where a PCB with the switch is shown.

I hope it's OK for Martin ;-)) if not, please let me know.

Maybe the thin copper plate that is engaging the switch has come of or the switch itself is steady open.

Good luck.

Best regards

Christian
