Hi all, I'm sorry if this has been covered before, But after searching this forum I'm none the wiser. Is it possible to clone the internal hard drive of the Beosound 3200?
It seems from one post from member 11048437 it is possible, they used "CLONE HDD". But then they were not able to get the beosound to access it. I've tried to contact them to ask if they had any success but so far I have not had a reply.
11048437 if you're here, can you explain if you ever got the beosound to access your new HDD?
Or maybe someone else has been successful in cloning and replacing their hard drive?
Keith Saunders mentioned this in one post
I think your problem is a little more complex than just adding a new disk with an image. The reason is that the EEPROM has to also be updated with the serial number of the new disk using Test Mode 78 The Service Tool Software used by the B&O dealer will format and update the CODEC module. So, I think you will need to get the assistance of your local B&O repair centre or dealer.
Is it possible to update the EEPROM with the new HDD serial myself just with using test mode 78? Or do I need the service tool software? and if so where do I get this software from?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
