I have 4 Beolab 8000's I am using on Onkyo Amp TX-RZ900 Pre-Out ports. But two of my pre outs are no longer functioning and hum on the RCA lines is annoying.
I'd like to pair these speakers with a BeoMaster or BeoCenter but all the pics I see of speaker connections on the 6500 or 5500 etc are the small two prong connections. I thought powerlink cables were used to connect the speakers but can't find a system with powerlink ports for the speakers.
So I'm confused.

Beomaster 6500 and 7000 had powerlink 5500 did not. Beomaster 3500 and 4500 had powerlink as did Beocenter 9500, 8500 and 9300 and all the upright Beocenters and Beosounds with dual sliding glass doors.

Not an easy question to answer in a couple of lines.
The Beomaster 6500 has Powerlink sockets & the two prong connections you mention the 5500 does not have Powerlink.
If you search google for a model there is usually a link back to the main page of this site and if you look at the Product Spec & connections it will say if there is powerlink etc. See link for the Beomaster 5500 and 6500 page

If you define "meant" as which system has the most pictures with the BL8000s on-line, then that would most likely be the BS9000 (although I can't prove this).
I find that easy to answer:
Anything Beomaster, Beosound (without builtin speakers), Beocenter, Beovision ......rom the 3500/6500 generation and up untill now.
The newer devices can be used with a Powerlink adapter RJ45 to DIN.

That assumes you know the generations. For example Beomaster 4500 has Powerlink. Beomaster 5500 sounds newer, due to numbering, but does not have Powerlink.
You are right - but that should be fairly easy to do a google-search for.
Maybe fizz only looked for vintage models
The version Nomenclature confuses me, I never know what is newer vs older.

If you're using PL cables and all 4 speakers are BL8000s, you can drive all speakers from any of the suggested sources if you use some PL splitters. Each PL cable carries both L and R channels. This is why they have a switch for L or R. Some BLs (e.g. 1s, 4000s maybe others) allow you to "daisy chain" your speakers (BS connects to speaker 1, then speaker 1 connects to speaker 2, etc.). For speakers like the BL8000s with only a single PL socket, you can get PL splitters from B&O or Sounds Heavenly. This allows all speakers to play the same music. If you want to control the speakers separately, then that's a different story.
Oh, that’s the problem!
Powerlink connections/cables carry both the right and the left sound signal.
(Connected to an audiosystem) the choice for L or R is done in the speaker with the switch beside the connector).
You can daisychain a powerlink connection to multiple speakers.
A lot of Beolabs have two PL connections - meaning you can go from one to the next speaker directly.
However the BL8000 not - and you will need an adapter cable for that, like this (see also the description there):

So depending on how your speakers are placed and if you just want to run one cable off the Beomaster etc, you will need more of these.
