4002 Motor starts then stops

4002 motor starts and then stops after a few seconds. Function starts after both modes- start button and 33 button are pushed. Is this electronic or mechanical?

Most likely because of dried out bearings in the platter motor after 40 years. 
This blog post shows the fix for it.

Thanks. It turned out to be a TX2. The motor was ok, but the fishing line that pulls the tone arm was off the pulley and tangled up. Could not find anything on-line showing the routing or any video’s about putting it back. Do you know of any?
